WippAnimate
WippAnimate has a host of new features and optimizations to provide more customization and a better experience! Each animation (standard and middle) now has a “Swap” button allowing you to easily switch the values around without doing it manually!
In addition to that WippAnimate now features a “LQ – Fast” motion blur option (This only applies to Size, Position, and Angle animations) which significantly increases render speeds. If you need higher quality motion blur the “HQ – Slow” mode has been optimized so it is faster than previous versions.
In this update the Standard and Middle animations work together even better for smoother animations and more consistent results. Plus the middle option now has a “Standard” loop mode in addition to “Ping-Pong”. There are also Set Start/End buttons in the middle tab to make it easy to find where the playhead is.
The Mask feature set in WippAnimate has been greatly expanded and moved to its own tab. It now has a built in “Rectangle” mask which can easily be adapted into a Square or Circle using the controls. If that isn’t enough you can use a custom mask from Fusion. For both the “Rectangle” and “Custom” option there is a Size and Position animation you can add, there is a mask outline, and you can choose whether the mask is applied before the animation (the mask will animate with the image) or if it’s applied after (the mask won’t inherit the images motion).
The best part is this tool now runs faster than the previous version (even after all the updates!)
WippBG
WippBG has received some nice performance and UI updates including some new features to create awesome backgrounds!
The “Plasma” background mode now has a advanced color option letting you fully customize the gradient to get a even more unique look!
The overlay tools have been completely redesigned offering the same great features, adding new features, rendering faster, and making it all more user friendly! At the top there is a new “Overlay Opacity” letting you easily control how visible the different overlay elements are. Previously you had to change the color if you wanted it to be more subtle. Under the “Grid” mode the “Shape Size” and “Padding” controls are brand new and have become way easier to use! There is even a new staggered option adding breaking up the traditional grid pattern. It even allows you to rotate the individual shapes or the grid layout as a whole! Instead of just one color for the shapes, I’ve added a gradient option for even more customization. And instead of just using the built in shapes, you now have a “Custom” option which lets you load in a shape/logo (PNG files work best) from the Media Pool, or use a Loader so it works between multiple projects (hint: with WippReMacro😁)
For the “Grid” mode there is now a Movement tab letting you set a speed and direction for the grid to pan the screen! There is also a rotation mode giving you a 3D look to the grid, I like to pair this with the new Depth of Field controls to get a really dynamic looking background!
In addition to all of this there is a new “Particles” mode which let’s you easily leverage the power of particles right from the edit page! This has the same shape options as the “Grid” mode including using a custom shape/logo. Easily customize how many particles there are, their size, position, movement, rotation, and color! Keep in mind the more particles the slower it will take to render. Most systems can handle 5-50 particles without much lag.
Finally there is a “Stop Motion” option that lets you add a stop motion feel to your background. This is great when working with the “Noise” background mode to create a crumbled paper effect.
WippGrid
This update includes a redesigned WippGrid tool! It has all of the same layouts as before but with a new UI and more optimized backend giving better performance! The Patch settings also allow you to select between all 6 video tracks even when you only have 2 tracks visible. In addition to that you can now combine the Outline and Shadow style options instead of just using one at a time.
WippBlur
Meant to be a easy tool to quickly apply a static or animated blur effect, this update expands on WippBlur’s feature set! The tool now has a updated Blur Mode selector for a cleaner UI and faster performance in addition to 3 new blur modes (“Zoom”, “Directional”, “Radial”).
A bug in the “Lens” blur option has been fixed meaning the image won’t get brighter when it is applied resulting in a more realistic lens blur.
The mask system has also been redesigned, giving you better mask results when working with the standard blur modes. If you want to use a mask with transparency like a soft edge, I’d still recommend using the “Vari” option.
WippFrame
Redesigned for the first time since the original release, WippFrame has some under the hood improvements resulting in faster performance. I’ve also added a strength slider under the “FG + BG” option allowing you to animate the background at a different speed than the foreground!
WippSub
Also updated for the first time since the original release, WippSub now has AnimEngine V2 at its core, a better UI, easier customization, and better performance.
WippZoom
Address a issue where WippZoom wouldn’t take up the entire screen on certain computers.
