Questions before you buy?

Yes! WippGrid is designed to work in both the Studio and Free version of DaVinci Resolve! Please note: the installation process is more involved if you use the free version, but it only takes just a few minutes and is fully detailed in the installation video!

Building grids manually in DaVinci Resolve can take quite a bit of time. You need to import all of the videos and then make sure they are perfectly aligned with equal padding around them.

WippGrid handles this for you letting you grab one of the pre-built layouts and use a padding slider for even spacing around all of the frames. You can always override this and even create your own layouts!

Then, what if you want to animate it? If you built the grid yourself this complicates it even more! You need to build a second grid layout and use keyframes to have it seamlessly move between.

With WippGrid you can add in a new design, press two buttons, and now it will seamlessly animate between grid layouts! Plus, WippGrid is powered by the AnimEngine so you get full control of the animations without using keyframes!

Yes! You can create your own layout designs that are compatible with all of WippGrid's features including the Padding control and the A to B animations! Check out the tutorial on the WippGrid tutorials page to learn more.

No, WippGrid is now a standalone tool due to it's size and vast feature set.

Yes! WippGrid has a dedicated page full of tutorials showing you how to use all of the features! You can see those here.

Why is WippGrid the best grid tool for DaVinci Resolve? Well, it solves the two biggest problems of creating grid layouts.

The first problem is building and aligning the layouts. This takes a ton of time to get right and if you ever need to go back to change the spacing, you basically need to start over! WippGrid has dozens of pre-built layouts which allow you to customize the spacing between all of them with one padding slider. And, it even lets you create your own layouts which work with the padding slider.

The second problem is animation. Animating grids on/off is relatively easy but what if you want to seamlessly animate between grid layouts? With just a few clicks, WippGrid handles this for you creating a smooth, seamless animation powered by the AnimEngine! This lets you adjust the animation without using keyframes! Plus, it has realtime motion blur for extra smoothness!

WippGrid is perfect for editing podcasts, slideshows, and even just easily creating advanced animations! Check out the training library to see some of the different ways it can be used!

WippGrid is primarily designed to make the grid creation process easy, as well as to render as fast as possible! Creating basic grids in Fusion or on the edit page will render faster than WippGrid, but those take much longer to setup and don't have animations or built-in styling.

In the tutorials page for WippGrid there is a full lesson talking about how to get better performance out of WippGrid. For me, I typically get 15-40 fps playback and slightly faster render times depending on how many grids I'm using. Any extra time WippGrid takes to render compared to other methods is easily offset by the amount of time it saves me to set it up.

It's time to speed up your workflow...
